GT Foundation participated in a humanitarian drive providing financial support, scholarships, and other aid to disabled adults and children of the Dakshina Kannada District.
The event, which was conducted at the Town Hall in Mangalore, was organized by the Dakshina Kannada District Federation for Disabled. More than 100 physically challenged children and adults were provided a wide variety of aid, including scholarships, educational materials, school supplies, and more. Ten wheel chairs and 15 hearing aids were also distributed at the drive.
GlowTouch Technologies CEO Dr. V. Ravichandran serves as the honorary President of the Dakshina Kannada District Federation for Disabled. In his remarks at the event, Dr. Ravichandran graciously acknowledged the contributions put forth by donors, sponsors and other philanthropic partners.
At the event’s culminating ceremony, Dr. Ravichandran recognized an extraordinary individual who won a Gold Medal at the 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens. As a mentally challenged athlete and GlowTouch Technologies employee, Dhanraj was collectively honored by all the event’s attendees for his courage, determination, and heart.
