Dr. V. Ravichandran, Managing Trustee of GT Foundation participated in the Founder’s Day Celebrations of the Cheshire Home, Mangalore branch on September 27, 2016, as one of the Chief guests. Founder’s Day is celebrated in memory of their initiator Sir Geoffrey Leonard Cheshire every year.
Cheshire homes India is a group of institutions located in various cities all over India whose main aim is to provide service and care for the general well-being of women and young girls who have permanent or severe disabilities and elderly women who are unable to look after themselves.
During this event, GT Foundation donated 10 computers to the residents of the Cheshire home.
Dr. M. Venkatraya Prabhu, M.D. Dean & Professor of Medicine, K.M.C. Mangalore, Manipal University was also one of the Chief guests of the function. The other special guests included the President – Lioness Club, President – Rotary Anns, President – Inner Wheel, and President – Ladies Social Service League (Regd) Mangalore. Mrs. Wilma Aranha, Chairperson, and Secretary Mrs. Hazel Colaco presided over the function.
